Senior sales executive Sean Farrelly joins to help drive growth
IMS, the leading telematics and connected insurance solution provider, has appointed Sean Farrelly as Vice President, Sales, for the Americas.
Sean, who previously fulfilled senior roles at Arity and LexisNexis Risk Solutions, will report to SVP North America, David Lukens and joins IMS following a year of sustained international business growth, including signing up several new insurer accounts.
Lukens confirmed that Sean will oversee business development for strategic accounts in a North American market that has become the foundation for the global spread of UBI products for the mainstream.
“IMS is in a great position to support our global insurer partners to meet the challenges of operating in this space; in particular providing connected insurance products that customers can fully engage with. We see ourselves as a business partner to carriers wanting to increase the success and sustainability of their programs – and we recognize a genuine business opportunity for many US carriers to increase the level of engagement with their UBI apps. US carrier apps have lower engagement rates relative to other markets, and we have the people and software tools to fix that.”

Sean will be based in Connecticut and began his new role at the beginning of March.
